Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Howgills all year round. With the highest tops at just over 2000ft/670m the Howgills offer gentler hill and moorland walking than the Lake District or Snowdonia. Nonetheless what they lack in height is more than compensated for by the 'the magnificence of the views' - in this respect, as Alfred Wainwright noted; 'the Howgills win first prize'. Whatever the weather there is nothing better than a tramp across the tops, perhaps finished off with a warm bowl of soup or your favourite tipple in one of Sedbergh's hostelries at the end of the day. Call or email for details and let's explore the art of the possible....
